Bad Guy Mystery Roles
Three cards, one lobby, and the shop items that try to sit beside them.
Every Bad Guy Mystery round deals three identities. Most players are Good Guys. One player is the Protector. One player is the Bad Guy. You cannot pick the card. You can only play it. This hub is the roster so you stop using Murderer and Sheriff names in a place that renamed those jobs on purpose.
The three cards
- Good Guy — unarmed, hide, listen, survive. Deep tactics live in how to survive.

- Crates — Candy boxes, Sleepy effects, and Lite’s Gold Unicorn, without MM2 chroma tables.
Read the role page that matches the card you just drew, then rematch. Reading all three makes you better at the one you hate, because you start predicting the other two.
Items and passes sit beside roles, not above them
The items page catalogs Candy cosmetics: sticks, bricks, party poppers, the Nerf Gun. The gamepasses page lists Dual Wield at 44 Robux, Double Candy at 174, and Lite at 214. Neither page replaces a role tutorial. A Duck skin does not hide you. Double Candy does not shoot the hunter.
Perks are the only shop layer that behaves like a fourth tool. They are ranked on the perk tier list and planned on the perk planner. Peekaboo is the one that belongs in every role kit.
Why the names matter
dyingblu built a kid-friendly fork of a giant genre and then renamed the place from MM2 KIDS to Bad Guy Mystery. The role names are part of that fork. If you teach a younger player “you are the murderer,” you undid the presentation the review describes. Use the words on the card.
The versus MM2 page is the translation dictionary: Innocent to Good Guy, Sheriff to Protector, Murderer to Bad Guy, coins to Candy, bodies to a slap and a vanish.
How rounds assign work
Assignments are random each match. Shop claims that sell extra Bad Guy chance have not been reliable in player reports. Play the card. The round checklist starts with “read the card, do not announce it.” That line belongs here too.
A 15-player server means a lot of Good Guys. That math is why hiding well wins more nights than any cosmetic. It is also why a competent Bad Guy feels unstoppable if the Protector panic-fires.
