Bad Guy Mystery Items and Cosmetics

A playground catalog. Collect it after Peekaboo, not instead of Peekaboo.

Items and Cosmetics

Bad Guy Mystery fills its shop with kid-friendly props instead of a knife warehouse. You earn Candy, open crates, and equip a throw or a gun that matches the role you were dealt. This page is the catalog. The opinionated ranking is the weapon tier list. The spending order is the candy guide.

Currency and crates

Candy drops from rounds and from map piles that jingle. Crates consume Candy and roll a random cosmetic. A “Tier 2 Candy Crate” style box is how most players see their first Egg or Duck. The crates page is the longer crate desk, including why Lite’s Gold Unicorn is not a chroma drop. There is no verified trading economy and no official value list. If a video quotes MM2 seer prices, close it.

Promo codes that grant Candy are not verified. The Codes Hub stays empty until one is.

Bad Guy throws you will see

  • Stick — long, readable, the default practice tool.
  • Brick — the meme, same spacing rules.
  • Egg — rarer roll, same throw.
  • Fire Extinguisher — busy model, easy to lose the wind-up.
  • Bread, Teddy, Pillow, Squishy Dumpling, Duck — the soft set that sells the tone of the review.

All of them want a gap. The Bad Guy role page will not apologize for repeating that sentence.

Protector guns you will see

  • Party Popper — loud confirm, loud miss.
  • Water Pistol — quieter silhouette.
  • Nerf Gun — treated as Godly by the community, still a one-shot argument.

Protector rules do not change with the model. Read Protector.

Effects and extras

Sleepy-style effects that float Zs around an avatar exist as shop flavor. They do not hide you from a slap. Dual Wield puts two cosmetics in your hands and is documented with gamepasses, not here as a secret stat.

How to collect without wrecking your win rate

  1. Buy Peekaboo from the perk tier list.
  2. Open one crate when you have leftover Candy.
  3. Equip the model you can see.
  4. Play the round checklist before you open another box.

If a skin makes you hesitate, unequip it. Collection is optional. The role card is not. When a new crate season appears, the changelog will name it and this catalog will add a row instead of inventing a dozen unreleased props.

Inventory hygiene

Name your loadout in your head: one throw you can see, one gun you can fire, one perk you can click. Everything else is a museum. If the inventory scroll is longer than the round checklist, you are collecting during a hunt game. That is allowed. It is also how people forget Peekaboo exists.

Effects that add particles around your avatar can hide a slap direction for you as much as they hide you from others. Turn them off for a night if you keep losing tracks. Fashion week can return after you can leave spawn without thinking.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do item rarities change damage?

No verified damage split exists. Rarity is a collection tag.

What is the rarest gun?

The Nerf Gun is the community Godly. It still needs Protector discipline.

Should I trade items?

There is no stable public trading scene like Murder Mystery 2. Treat items as personal cosmetics.

How do I get more items?

Earn Candy in rounds, then open crates after you own a perk.

Can I buy a specific Duck or Nerf Gun with Robux?

Not as a clean single-item store on the live page we documented. Dual Wield, Double Candy, and Lite are the paid extras. Skins come from Candy crates.

Do effects like Sleepy hide me from the Bad Guy?

No. They add flavor around your avatar. A slap still lands. Turn busy effects off if they hide audio or movement tells from you.
